What does the 2GoBowl service include?
2GoBowl offers Bowling Centers a web based service where you can easily create and manage your own bowling center website. For more information on the 2GoBowl service, call 1-888-2GoBowl.
How much does 2GoBowl Cost?
The 2GOBOWL website building tool and hosting cost just $249.00 to set up and 29.00 per month. Plus, if you're a BPAA member, you get an additional $50 savings on the one time fee. That's just $199.00.
What are the monthly charges for?
Monthly hosting and maintenance of your site.
What is the Activation/Set-up fee for?
The one time fee is for the use of the website building tool.
Do I have to have a credit card?
Yes. We do not accept monthly checks for hosting. However, we do accept checks for initial set-up.
Can you invoice me monthly?
No. We do not invoice, however, if you'd like to pay for the year in advance, we'll gladly give you a 20% discount.
Do I have to sign a contract?
No. 2GoBowl comes with a 100% satisfaction guarantee (just like everything else at Leading Edge Promotions)
What If I'm not happy with the service?
Just call us 30 days in advance and we'll stop your service.
Is the Activation/Set-up fee refundable?
No.
What are the system requirements?
· A PC running Microsoft Windows 95/98/NT or Higher
· Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0 or Higher
· A modem, or other Internet connection, capable of 56 kbps or greater.
General Questions
How do I make changes to my site?
If you do not have a registered domain name, then log into your administration page by typing http://youruserid.2gobowl.com/login (insert your id for youruserid) and start making changes. However, if you do have a registered domain type http:/yourdomainname.com/login, then type in your password. Remember to click the button below the login. If you hit enter, then you will receive an error message. If you don't remember how to make changes once you are in, then just click on the "Dolly" tutorial and refresh your memory.
Is there a limit to the number of pages that I can have?
No. Currently, we offer unlimited pages for you to highlight your Bowling Center.
How long does it take until my site is active once I pay?
Two business days
What is an internet service provider or ISP?
A company that provides access to the Internet. For a monthly fee, the service provider gives you a software package, username, password and access phone number. Equipped with a modem, you can then log on to the Internet and browse the World Wide Web and USENET, and send and receive e-mail.
How many design choices do I get with the tool?
Ten. With more coming soon.
Can I get email through 2GoBowl?
No. Leading Edge Promotions does not offer email service. Contact your ISP.
How long will it take to build my site?
This is entirely up to you and your business needs. On their on, several of our customers have built their complete sites in less than 4 hours. Remember, maintaining a web site is just like the other parts of your business; it takes time and a continued commitment to get the greatest return.
Can I make money from having a website?
Yes, a website is a very effective way to communicate with your new and existing customers. You can increase league participation by posting scores. Birthday and corporate parties can be easily updated and booked through your personal email account provided by your ISP. The coupon system allows you to provide "web specials" coupons and sell or trade couponing with other businesses in your area.
Can I sell Advertising?
Yes, with the 2GoBowl website building tool, we give you the freedom and tools to sell advertising in the form of coupons or sponsorships.
How will customers find my site?
2GoBowl offers a function in your website administration tool that allows you to register your site with the top search engines and directories. In addition, we also provide several HTML email templates that can be used to attract new customers to your website, center, and leagues.
Does 2GoBowl host an online mall?
No. At 2GoBowl, we focus on Bowling Centers and ways to effectively increase the revenue from new and existing customers. However, we are always seeking additional services to provide our customers, and we are certainly willing to explore these types of requests.
How do I contact people that visit my site?
2GoBowl offers several applications that are designed to acquire customer information. When customers access these applications they'll be asked to register for your mailing list and be automatically added to your database. This database is stored by Leading Edge Promotions and can be accessed for both online and offline marketing. Please note that you own the database with Leading Edge Promotions and it will not be shared with any competitive businesses in your area.
Can I upload existing pictures and information?
Yes, with 2GoBowl you can upload pictures in a .gif and or .jpg format to your site, as well as other files in programs such as Microsoft Word and Excel. These are the most standardized formats and the easiest with which to work.
How do I get my website into search engines and directories?
Search engines and directories are an important part doing business on the web, but given the geographical nature of your business they should not be the major means of marketing for your site. Getting a good listing can be difficult. In fact, websites that appear in the top ten search results generally pay for their premiums spots. One free submission services is www.addme.com
Already Have a Web Site?
Can I connect my 2GoBowl web pages with another web site?
Yes, to do this, you'll simply need to add links from the other site to your 2GoBowl site or vice versa. Instructions on linking are contained in the online tutorial.
Can I use my own web address (domain name) with 2GoBowl?
You can use your own web address with your 2GoBowl web site. First we ask each customer to choose a 2GoBowl web address (http://www.yourcenter.2GoBowl.com). This is the name you choose as your username, and reserves space for your site on our servers and identifies your Center in our system. Later you may choose to transfer your own personalized web address, (http://www.yourcenter.com) for use with your 2GoBowl site. Keep in mind if you choose your own web address you will need to pay additional for it and to have it forwarded.
What if I already have a domain name with another service?
Listed below are instructions for transferring your domain name to 2GoBowl:
You'll need to go directly to your domain registration organization (Go Daddy, Network Solutions, Dotster, Register.com, etc.) and ask them to point your web address to our servers. Please call us at 888-246-2695 or email us at support@2gobowl.com for the DNS information.
Using HTML with 2GoBowl
Do I need to know HTML to use 2GoBowl?
No, with the 2GoBowl website building tool you can build pages, add a calendar, offer online coupons, post pictures, and more- all without knowing any HTML or computer programming. We also provide personal customer support to help you along the way. We specifically designed this system for anyone with minimal computer experience. You may want to have a high school student do it for you as a project.
Can I use HTML with 2GOBOWL?
Yes. On each page there is an advanced user button that will allow you (if you know HTML) or your Webmaster to add HTML code to your pages.
What are HTML email templates?
HTML templates (used in the promotion and email section of your admin) are colorful online brochures that we have developed to help you market your bowling center.
